How to configure Xinca App Administrators using Xinca Management System

To use Xinca Admin, a couple of steps need to be taken.

Requirements:

  • An Admin group;
  • One or more Admin users
  • User Group(s);
  • User Account(s);

Steps to take:

  • Create a Admin group;
  • Create a User group;
  • Create a Admin user;
  • Create Users account(s);
  • Configuring additional settings.

Create a Admin group:

  • In XMS go to Users & Groups > Groups
  • Click on Add Group
  • Enter the desired group name and an optional description in the popup that’ll appear;

  • You will be directed to the newly created group details page. On that page, click the Edit button and make sure the Xinca Control feature is set to “Allow”.

Create a Users group:

  • Repeat the steps above but name it something different (Like users)
  • Make sure the Xinca Control feature of this group is set to “Deny”!

Create a Admin user:

  • In XMS go to Users & Groups -> Overview
  • Click on the Add user button
  • Enter the Admins’ details in the popup that’ll appear. Make sure you select the Admins group you’ve just created at the Member Of field
  • You will be directed to the newly created users’ details page. On that page, click on the Edit Details button
  • At the Manageable groups field you select one or more groups this Admin can manage through the Xinca Admin app. In this case we select the newly created Users group

Create Users account(s):

  • In XMS go to Users & Groups -> Overview
  • Click on the Add user button
  • Fill in the details of the User

Repeat this step for every User you want to create.

You’re ready! You can now download the Xinca app from the AppStore/VPP and log in with the credentials of the Admin user.
